The members' forum is a place where members can meet and discuss issues of importance to them. The central purpose is to encourage people to establish home meetings for worship on the Sabbath day, to provide a foundation of Biblical doctrine for such individuals and small groups, and a place where they may discuss both doctrines and practical issues of engaging in home worship. The focus is discussion of the Bible and associated topics, fellowship, prayer requests, sharing of testimonies, and praise to God. This is not the place to advertise other products, engage in personal polemics, use abusive or uncouth language, or attack other members. It is the place to encourage others to come closer to God through study of the Bible, and enjoy meeting people who engage in that practice. You are strongly encouraged to write here, share your experiences of Sabbath worship in home groups, and praise God for His blessings and leading.

Re: Sabbath - end the confusion!James, you are like a tiger, ready to pounce.
I have been, trying to bide my time, holding my breath, allowing you to settle in your newfound love of the 7th day Sabbath, which i also hold very dear. You will note from the title that This Thread was meant to put an end to the 7th day Sabbath controversy, by the very commands of Christ before and after the cross as quoted from Matthew in the opening paragraph. no one can dispute those texts which i have also adopted in recognition that they are part of New end time revelation which i have not seen used by any other Sabbath defender - anywhere - no bible commentary that i have seen brings to the fore the truth of the original 7th day Sabbath embedded in the SEAT of MOSES, which cannot be dislodged from these NEW TESTAMENT COMMANDS of CHRIST -- THE LORD OF THE SABBATH HIMSELF. It also puts to rest, many negative arguments about Col.2: regarding the Sabbaths and the NEW MOONS celebrations, fostering a positive light on their continuity rather than their termination. Paul was obviously speaking and acting in support of his Savior's commands for these feasts to be continually observed - till heaven and earth pass away. A house divided against itself cannot stand. A deeper study of certain scriptures will bring to light the fact that ALL the Sabbaths, weekly, monthly, yearly etc. were in fact calculated / announced by one fixed method - Creator's lunisolar calendar - in which the moon in its waxing and waining phases, truly determines the days set apart for HIS intermission/Sabbaths. As His Blessed Holy Spirit and time allows, i might be able to present some of that study on this thread. It is quite lengthy and diverse, so my intention is to post first of all, only the actual texts which confirm by mathematical logic, the proofs outlined in scripture - the 4 or 5 or more witnesses (still under study) which are persuading me in that direction. Please be patient - especially u beloved James, for indeed my next Sabbath might very well be this coming Tuesday -----
Re: Sabbath - end the confusion!marwy,
Your next Sabbath will fall on the day commonly called Saturday, because that is the Bible Sabbath. There is no other. Even the Roman Catholic church recognizes the day of the Sabbath, as do all other religious traditions. God has not made things so complicated and obscure that it takes long study to find the truth. Even such an ignorant person as myself found the truth quickly, when it was pointed out to me by Elijah and others. No reasonable person on earth denies that the Jewish Sabbath, kept by Jews today, is the same day of the week as it was at the time of Christ. We do not need to look for cunningly devised fables of things embedded in Moses seat. The Sabbath has been preserved through history. We can take it or leave it, but we do not have the right to deny it.
Re: Sabbath - end the confusion!Dear James,
Even the 12 apostle did not agree on everything. So we are always going to disagree. I love your passion. I like you willingness to debate what you believe. All people have different spirital gifts, and you know yours well. I wish I had the gift you have, sometimes. You have brought out the ones who already believe in the moon sabbath, I would have never been able to do that, without getting very angry. I have to always think of the soul I am talking to. I want to always show love to that person when I tell them how I feel. I fail sometimes, but I try. In short, which most of my post are, I like hanging around people like you. I Sent you a message, but it was reported as spam, by you are this web-site. But please tell me where you will go after you leave this web-site. Thanks Jeff
Re: Sabbath - end the confusion! Thanks Colin,
u post- by Colbo » Sun Nov 01, 2009 4:37 am Well, Elijah, ----------- I too came on to these sites to learn and exchange knowledge, not to dictate the terms. I can't speak for Elijah of course! Cheers Colin. Elijay reply- Flattery always flattens me. - Creator only be praised. SOO- every one - have you all looked at the proposal for launch of the NEW WORLD CALENDAR on 1st January 2012? Its institution will cause the 7th day Sabbath to no longer BE CONSECUTIVE,but will be broken once yearly in the 'regular' years with a 'NONE DAY' "Saturday' to be celebrated as WORLD DAY which would normally be 31st December - and twice in leap years. This will cause the 7th day Sabbath to actually FLOAT thru the week as we now know it. Any ideas as to how 7th day Sabbatharians will then preserve the consecutive 7 day week preserved since creation????? (and please don't say - cross that bridge when we reach it). (moon sabbath with its counteractive 'none days' and monthly fixity of the Sabbath days, might suddenly begin to look attractive after all) ------i think !! Creator says 'WATCH' - is He at work with far advanced strategy -- or what? Food for thought. Shalom
Re: Sabbath - end the confusion!I have read the documents by Kerrie French and frankly, it's a load of rubbish. Yet another kook out there trying to create their own religion and to my shock, the administrators of WLC have fallen for this Moonie cult ... God created the world in six days and on the seventh day he rested. That Sabbath was for man. The seventh day is the Sabbath day and that day is Saturday. In actual fact, it is sunset Friday night to sunset Saturday night.
What I find intriguing is that WLC Admin are holding back this information until January 2010. Again my question, which has NOT been answered to any form of satisfaction whatsovever is simply this. If this new Sabbath is critical to our salvation, why is WLC Admin withholding vital information from its members? What if this moonie cult thing were for real? My salvation could depend on it... but no... nothing will be revealed, because WLC Admin are wasting time and refusing to put the truth out there. That is 'their' version of the 'truth'. How unfortunate that WLC Admin have so far lost at least three very commited members and will lose more to follow once they try to fool everyone into believing this moonies cult thing. The moon sabbath is nonsensical, unbiblical, unscriptural. Anyone who believes it is investing in a lie. A deceit. And who is the author of deceit? The devil. SATAN. Yes, SATAN has infiltratred WLC and fooled the Administration into believing a completely ridiculous pagan ritual. I can't talk for anyone else, but I can say... If WLC do go ahead with this lunacy, I will definitely not be back. Not, that I think anyone really cares... If they did, they would not be embracing this stupid Moon Sabbath theory.
Re: Sabbath - end the confusion!Hi James, if you're still there?
Thanks for your words of endearment, but I was/am like you, struggling with what's correct, and I can tell you I have done the rounds!! The important for me was to find consistency, and the 10 commandments give me that. By remembering the sabbath every Sat.; that is consistency. By remembering Christ's sacrifice every evening meal; that's consistency; I no longer have to worry about certain days, moons etc. Looking at mainstream Christianity, I see a tendency to put Paul's writings ahead of what Christ said? Even Atheists would have to agree that the 10 commandments are a great way to live with our fellow man? and I actually look forward to that one day each week to forget the rush of getting things done, and just relax! it's good for the 'soul' and body, and it's 'regular' every Saturday!! Cheers, Colin.
